resolutions

I don't make resolutions because I never keep them. And I think that anything important enough to make a resolution about should be followed through. But if I had to make a knitting resolution, it would be to finish one project before moving on to the next. Right now I have the following projects on the needles.

  • Pomatomus socks - I like socks better now since I have the hang of how they're constructed, but the lace is going to be the death of me. I ran into a snag on the chart and I haven't had the patience yet to correct. But isn't the part that's done lovely?

  • A shrug of my own design - my mother got me two balls of boucle for Christmas. I decided to make a shrug for which I needed 6 balls. She got me two more, the other two are on back order.
  • A baby blanket for my husband's cousin - no excuse, it's just not as much fun to work on as some of the other things.
  • A scarf for a friend - I randomly started this last night just because.
  • Simply Marilyn - I knit this, frogged the whole thing and am now reknitting with a tighter gauge and different neckline. I'm about half way up in the body.
And I bought yarn last night to make Fuzzy Feet for my great aunt, the one-skein wonder for myself and socks for my husband. And I wonder why I have no more cords in my Denise set.
